The Festa degli Aplini attracts a large number of Alpini, the Italian mountain troops, known as the “Black Feathers”, from across the Apennines and Emilia-Romagna.
The event is steeped in tradition and features a number of solemn ceremonies, including the Alpini parade accompanied by a marching band and the religious service held in Piazza dei Caduti.
